The Faculty of Education in the University of New Brunswick invites applications for a two year limited term Instructor appointment in Early Childhood Education. This appointment will commence January 1, 2022 or soon if possible, subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a Masters in Education and significant experience with the Early Childhood Education Curriculum in New Brunswick and be familiar with Early Learning Centres located in the Maritimes.

The applicant must demonstrate excellence in his/her teaching. Experience teaching in K-3 is required, and preference will be given to candidates with a New Brunswick primary education background.

We are seeking someone who will take a leadership role in the design and delivery of the ECE BED online courses and will provide primary instruction in the curricular areas of numeracy and science education. Ideally, the successful candidate will also have experience in, and familiarity with early learning methodologies in problem solving, assessment and evaluation and project learning.

The University of New Brunswick is one of the oldest public universities in Canada. It offers degrees in more than 60 disciplines encompassing a range of academic and professional programs. The Faculty of Education offers graduate and undergraduate programs (both on line and face -to-face) for a wide variety of learners and educational contexts. The faculty is active in international programs and has been highly successful in obtaining research grants and contracts. Fredericton, New Brunswick, is located by the Saint John River, has many kilometres of walking trails and a very active arts community.
