The Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada invites applications for a full-time probationary (tenure-track) appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Forest Management. The Faculty provides undergraduate and graduate education in forestry and environmental management. The successful candidate will teach within the undergraduate programs, contribute to graduate programs, develop a strong research program that includes supervising graduate students, and enhance Faculty governance through positive, constructive, and collegial engagement in Faculty affairs.

Candidates must have or be near completion of a Ph.D in forestry or a related field and have a strong background in forest management design and evaluation. This includes a working familiarity with the spatial/temporal modeling of a broad range of forest values (e.g., timber, wildlife, carbon) and the associated strategic, tactical, and operational planning required to implement strategies designed to meet specific management objectives and quantify associated tradeoffs. Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders would be an asset, as would suitable background to pursue membership with the Association of Registered Professional Foresters of New Brunswick as a Registered Professional Forester (RPF). Demonstrated or potential for excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and demonstrated success in publishing scientific papers in forestry or other science journals, are also required.
