Faculty of Computer Science: Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity

The Faculty of Computer Science at the University of New Brunswick's Fredericton Campus champions teaching and research in computer systems, human-computer interaction, and information and data science, and is home to the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity, Canada's research leader in cybersecurity. The Faculty and the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity (CIC) invite applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Cybersecurity. We seek exceptional candidates with high quality research and publications to strengthen and complement our current training and research programs in the field of Cybersecurity.

To be considered for the position the applicant should have a PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or in a relevant discipline; three years of related experience are desirable. The successful candidate is expected to develop a strong, externally funded research program, supervise graduate and undergraduate students, work with industry, and be able to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Cybersecurity and other Computer Science priority subjects. A demonstrated willingness to work with industry is considered an asset. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to work on a team project are essential.

This position is subject to final budgetary approval and will start on or after July 1, 2021. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the successful applicant. Short-listed candidates will be required to provide satisfactory proof of credentials, including appropriately certified translations of credentials into English, as applicable.
