The Faculty of Engineering at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering commencing 1 July 2020, subject to budgetary approval. Applicants must be an emerging leader in their research field and have interests that complement one of the department's main research clusters which include renewable power, biomedical engineering, or communications. The applicant must excel in teaching in one or more core areas of electrical engineering, including power, electronics, control, electromagnetics, signals and digital systems, as well as other emerging areas in electrical and computer engineering. Applicants must have a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, graduate student supervision, research, and academic service. The selected applicant will be expected to register as a Professional Engineer in the Province of New Brunswick. Further information may be found at www.unb.ca/aboutunb/employment.html.

The University of New Brunswick has approximately 6,700 full time students and 475 faculty members at its Fredericton campus. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering hosts approximately 270 undergraduate students, 66 graduate students and 14 faculty members, and offers degrees in Electrical Engineering and Software Engineering (in collaboration with the Faculty of Computer Science). The Department is an active participant in a Co-Op program which places students in work terms across Canada.
