CANADIAN INSTITUTE FOR CYBERSECURTIY

The Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity at the University of New Brunswick's Fredericton Campus invites application for a Research Associate in the field of Cybersecurity. The successful candidate will bring architectural and engineering experience to design, develop, and implement cybersecurity solutions; have working knowledge of the statistical and machine learning techniques; investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential inventions and products; and, plan and execute applied research. Candidate must contribute to scientific literature and conferences, and possess exceptional communication skills and be able to interact with both business and technology stakeholders at various levels while applying subject matter expertise for security technologies and solutions.

To be considered for the position the applicant should have a PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or in a relevant discipline plus two years related experience. Some postdoctoral research experience is an asset. Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to work on a team project are essential.

The successful candidate is expected to co-supervise graduate students and teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in cybersecurity. The candidate must be willing to work with industry partners.

This is a full-time position, available as early as October 1, 2019 and will initially be for two years, with the possibility of renewal for two more years. Salary will depend upon the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant. The position is subject to budgetary approval.
