Meet Our Team


Kelley Bird, Director, B.A., M.Ed.

Kelley provides a range of services for students with accessibility needs. She meets with students on a regular basis and arranges accommodations, programs and services for individual students. She helps students apply for funding for assistive technology, tutoring and other types of support. Kelley is responsible for coordinating the Mentorship Program which provides students with support in the transition to post-secondary education and/or employment.  She is a strong advocate for every student she serves working collaboratively with instructors, support staff, and community agencies.

Janice Gange, Learning Strategist, B.Sc., B.Ed., M.Ed

Janice provides services to students who require academic support for potential skills deficits. She support students by teaching and coaching them in areas such as: time management, study skills, test preparation, memory techniques, organization and note taking.  Janice is focused on partnering with students to assist them in achieving their best academic outcome while at UNB.



Kailha Winter-Smith, Assistive Technologist, DSW, B.A. (Disability Studies), LDGC

Kailha is the Assistive Technology (AT) expert on the team. She provides AT assessment, training, equipment sourcing and purchasing support.  She examines the tasks that present barriers to students' success and recommends appropriate learning strategy and technology solutions to overcome them.  Kailha also provides training and follow-up on software programs and equipment that recommends. Kailha works closely with the Learning Strategist, Accessibility Assistant, and Accommodation Advisors to ensure your accommodation needs are met.  She has over 15 years of experience in the field and is an AT user herself.  Kailha will be your number one stop for AT support and services.



Pamela Underhill, Administrator & Test Coordinator

Pamela is the first point of our students and visitors. She is the cheerful face you'll meet when you visit. Pam provides information about our services in addition to helping direct students to other services on campus. She books appointments for students and is responsible for coordinating arrangments for students who recieve test and examination accommodations. If you qualify for test/exam accommodations, Pam will work to set up your test/exam accommodations to be written at SAC.
