How to apply

Applying for the BPhil

  1. Fill out the standard University of New Brunswick application form. Under Area of Study, select Renaissance College. Then select Bachelor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Leadership, under program.  We suggest the online version of the application form (select Bachelor of Philosophy).

  2. Pay the $65 application fee.

  3. Transcripts and will need to be sent from previously attended educational institutions. Have your school(s) send them to the UNB Registrar's office.

  4. Create a resumé. Please include your educational, extracurricular, volunteer, work and other relevant experiences and achievements. Also indicate any awards, distinctions or recognitions you have received.

  5. Write a cover letter for your resumé. We ask that you tell us a bit about yourself and why you would like to come to Renaissance College. Elaborate on how you think it might fit with your future life and career goals. Optional: Many students also choose to submit portfolios of various types containing samples of school work, art, writing, music, etc.

  6. Resumés, cover letters and portfolios can be mailed or emailed to UNB Admissions or uploaded to your online application.

Renaissance is currently reviewing applications and accepting students for Fall 2021.

For high school students

Normally, minimum requirements for admission directly from high school are:

  • a combined average of 75%
  • four electives with a minimum overall average of 75%
  • does not guarantee acceptance

For transfer students

We welcome transfer students also. Transfer students must normally have a GPA of 3.0 to be considered for the program.
