How to register for SOAR

Before attending Spring Orientation, Advising and Registration, you will need to:

  1. Activate your UNB IT Services account. You will need your login ID and student number found in your letter of acceptance.
  2. Contact your faculty to let them know on which date you plan to attend:  

If you do not plan to attend, you will still need to connect with your faculty for academic advising before you can register for your courses.

Our day will begin at 9 a.m. in the Student Union Building (SUB) atrium and cafeteria (21 Pacey Drive).  Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable footwear as there will be some walking around campus.

Submit your picture before you come to UNB to get your student ID.

It's easy! Upload a photo of yourself and leave SOAR with your UNB Student ID Card - also known as UCard - in hand. 

Your key to campus

Your UCard gives you access to many resources on and off campus including:

  • Library resources
  • Gym facilities
  • Meal halls
  • Printing
  • Entrance to events
  • UCard cash
  • Discounts from Fredericton retailers

Picking up your UNB UCard (ID card) at the event?

You must have a government issued photo ID (Passport, Driver’s License, Provincial Resident ID Card, etc.) to pick up your UNB UCard (ID card). Contact your local government services for details on how to obtain a government photo ID if you don't already have one.

Overnight accommodations

Travelling to attend SOAR?  Consider staying on campus overnight on Friday! This is an excellent opportunity for students and their families to experience residence living, meet other residence students, and connect with friendly residence staff.
