To outline the hazards and regulations related to foot protection.


The following policy shall cover all persons who are likely to be exposed to foot injury.


  1. Employees shall wear Grade 1 C.S.A. approved footwear on all project or construction sites, or at any other place of employment where there is a hazard which may cause injuries to the feet.
  2. Employees shall wear impervious foot protection (e.g. rubber boots, boot covers) when handling acids, caustics and other similar harmful substances.
  3. Grade 1 C.S.A. approved foot protection shall be worn by employees using pneumatic drills, jackhammers or paving breakers.
