Vice-president Administration and Finance

Reporting to the President, the Vice-President (Administration and Finance) is responsible for the financial and non-academic corporate services of the University in support of the institutional mission.

Karen Cunningham

Karen received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Allison University and obtained a Chartered Accountant designation through the New Brunswick Institute of Chartered Accountants while articling with Grant Thornton in Fredericton where she worked for six years in their public accounting practice.

After leaving Grant Thornton Karen spent almost twenty years in a series of progressive leadership roles with the provincial government. In 2012, she left her role as Director of Accounting Services in the Office of the Comptroller, Accounting Services with the Province of New Brunswick to accept the role of Comptroller with UNB. Karen has held the position of Vice-President (Administration and Finance) with the University of New Brunswick since 2014.
