UNBF's Physics department seminar will be held on Thursday, Jan. 20, from 1:15 - 2:15 p.m. via Microsoft Teams (email physics@unb.ca for link).

Speaker:  Mustafa Saeed, UNBF Physics

Topic: "Ising model on black hole geometry"

"The derivation of a singularity-free black hole spacetime is known. After reviewing this calculation, I will set up an Ising model on this geometry and present the preliminary result of a phase transition with the mass of the black hole as the external parameter."

NOTE: Seminar event starts at 1 p.m. to allow the speaker time to set up and time for attendees to have an open chat until the seminar start time of 1:15 p.m.
