Title:  Practical applications of research in a performance sport organization.

Abstract:  Research and data play an important role in the innerworkings of any organization, and the Canadian Sport Centre Atlantic is no exception. The Centre is a not-for-profit organization that focuses on supporting athletes and coaches in elevating their performances on the international sport stage, as well as achieving meaningful performance progress with a variety of partners. For a diverse staff spanning a multitude of scientific and administrative disciplines, using research and data to inform and drive this work is key. During this talk, Ken and Meaghan will discuss the practical applications of research and data to their respective fields, with Ken focusing on strength and conditioning and Meaghan focusing on management.
