CIC is going to be hosting free online webinars during October - the "Cybersecurity Awareness Month.” CIC is showcasing the expertise of researchers, academics and industry professionals. These webinars are meant to pique the interest and to discover what our team could potentially help others with. There will be eight sessions presented by CIC researchers, UNB faculty and staff, and CIC’s industry partners. The webinar topics will range from ISM Frameworks, Fake News Detection, Cybersecurity for IOT-based Smart Cities to Big Data Security.

Dr. Mohammad Mamun is going to make a presentation on “Behavioral Analytics to defend against insider threats” where he will be discussing possible data sources for behavioral analytics, potential features and some high level overview of machine learning techniques to be used to detect risky or suspicious behavior. Dr. Mamun has more than 12 years’ mixture of academic and industry experience. Currently, he is working as a Research Associate at UNB and a Project Manager at the CIC.
