CETL Hosts Session Videos with Embedded Quizzes-FR
In the flipped classroom model, some or all of the content delivery is moved out of the classroom, then class time is used to work with that content. Videos, whether self-authored or borrowed from other sources, can be used for out-of-class content delivery. However, research has shown that passively watching a video is not terribly effective due to mind-wandering. Embedding questions and quizzes within the video has been shown to be beneficial.
In this session, Jeff Mundee will introduce a method for adding interactive quiz elements to existing videos and seamlessly integrating them into D2L. These can then be used as an automatic grade item.
There are two offerings in Room 249 of Marshall d'Avray Hall:
Thursday, July 23, from 1 to 2 p.m. and Thursday, July 30, from 1 to 2 p.m.
