Accessing Student Services


UNB student support services will be in place and continue to be delivered at full capacity. UNB offices and support services will be offered through limited in-person appointments and alternate formats. Fredericton Student Services offers a summary of services of available.

We understand that this may be a stressful time and we will continue to work to provide helpful resources and care to all students. Check Counselling Services regularly for updates and ways you can continue to take good care of yourself and be well during times of change and uncertainty. 

All in-person appointments, groups and workshops at UNB Counselling Services are cancelled for the time being. In the meantime, counsellors will provide urgent phone sessions to students experiencing a mental health crisis.

To schedule an urgent phone appointment:

  • An urgent situation may involve your safety and well-being or that of another person being at risk including thoughts and plans about harming yourself or someone else.
  • You can leave a message on the Counselling Services phone line at 506-453-4820.
  • Counselling Services' voicemail and email will be monitored during regular business hours, Monday-Friday from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
