COVID-19 Update

May 7, 2020

Dear UNB students, faculty and staff,

We all have been affected in some way by COVID-19. This is a challenging time filled with uncertainty that requires adaptation for everyone. The University of New Brunswick is no different.

UNB is currently preparing various scenarios for the fall term and we are targeting June 1, 2020, to provide more detailed directions. Although we may not have all the answers at this time, please be assured that we will be offering academic program course instruction in September in some way and students will be continuing their studies through UNB.

Throughout these times, UNB’s commitment to ensuring the academic success of our students has never wavered. Whether course instruction is classroom based or remote, or a combination of both, the quality of learning at UNB will not change. UNB will be ready to helpstudents achieve their academic goals and provide students with a world-class education.

We will continue to take direction from the Province of New Brunswick to ensure the safety and health of our students, faculty, staff and our communities. UNB will develop plans to re-open our campuses for academic purposes with the guidance of public health measuresduring COVID-19 recovery phases.

We are profoundly proud of the resiliency of the UNB community for quickly adjusting to the directives of New Brunswick Public Health. We look forward to the day when we welcome students, faculty and staff back to our campuses and when large gatherings are deemed safe by New Brunswick Public Health.

We will continue to issue regular communication updates as they become available through email and atunb.ca/coronavirus

With kind regards,

Paul J. Mazerolle
