We have learned that members of our university community may have been exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19. This exposure is not related to the Magee House outbreak. UNB is working with New Brunswick Public Health and is taking all guidance and direction from them.
If you were in the Residence Administration Building on May 11 and May 12 between 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on both days, you may have been exposed to COVID-19 and should self-monitor for 14 days from that date and get tested. New Brunswick Public Health provides more information on how to self-monitor (PDF).
Due to strict confidentiality and privacy concerns, UNB is provided with only the necessary information required to support contact tracing.
We will continue to address concerns as they arise and provide the latest information on COVID-19 developments through UNB communication channels including email, social media and unb.ca/coronavirus.
With kind regards,
Paul J. Mazerolle
President and Vice-Chancellor
