COVID-19 update

Thank you for your continued support and for doing your part to keep our community safe. Given the presence and severity of respiratory illnesses in the province including COVID, RSV and influenza, the current mask policy will remain in place throughout the exam period and for winter term 2023:

• Face masks are required in classrooms and instructional spaces only.
• Face masks may be removed in shared indoor spaces on campus, including transitioning between classes, offices and travelling through common areas.
• UNB remains a mask-friendly environment and we encourage those who wish to wear masks on campus to do so.

Examination period | Dec. 10-20, 2022

Face masks are required at all times while writing exams in the classroom and instructional spaces. Please maintain social distancing outside of the exam room when possible.

• Fredericton: Masks are required in the lobby and other large gathering areas while students wait to enter the examination rooms in the Lady Beaverbrook Gym and the Richard J. CURRIE CENTER.

• Saint John: Masks are strongly encouraged while waiting to enter the examination rooms. UNB staff will be on hand to assist students entering the exam rooms to help ensure physical distancing.

• Moncton: Masks are strongly encouraged while waiting to enter the examination rooms. Disposable face masks are available at the main office.

To protect the health and safety of our community, we strongly recommend faculty, staff and students be vaccinated and maintain COVID boosters and flu shots as available.
