COVID-19 update

August 15, 2022

As we prepare for a new academic year, we strongly recommend faculty, staff and students be vaccinated and maintain boosters as available. The following health measures will remain in place for the fall term to protect the health and safety of our community:

  • Face masks must be worn in most instructional spaces and indoor shared spaces on campus including transitioning indoors between classes, offices and travelling through common spaces. See UNB face mask requirements for more information.
  • Hand sanitization stations and enhanced cleaning schedules will remain.
  • Follow Public Health’s guidance to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases by washing your hands frequently and coughing into your elbow.
  • Faculty, students and staff are encouraged to stay home when sick.
  • We will continue to provide flexibility for students unable to participate in classes due to COVID-related health conditions. See COVID Student Academic Absences for more information.

We will reassess COVID requirements periodically based on the epidemiology of the virus, presence of variants and vaccination regime recommendations by Public Health at that time.

Thank you for your continued support and for doing your part to keep our community safe.
