COVID-19 update

April 13, 2022

As we continue to transition to living with COVID-19, we encourage you to assess and manage your personal risk and make decisions to decrease your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19. We strongly recommend and encourage faculty, staff and students to become fully vaccinated and maintain boosters as available.

The health and safety of the UNB community is our top priority. After discussions with Public Health and continued analysis of available information, the health measures updates for the summer term are as follows:

  • Effective 12:01 a.m. on Friday, April 29, UNB will pause the mandatory COVID-19 rapid testing policy until further notice.
  • With transmission levels still high in New Brunswick, face mask requirements will remain in place. Face masks must be worn in all indoor public spaces on campus. We will continue to evaluate and update the face mask requirements at UNB on a regular basis.

We will re-assess COVID requirements for the fall term based on the epidemiology of the virus, presence of variants and vaccination regime recommendations by Public Health at that time.

Thank you for your continued support and for doing your part to keep our community safe.
