Autism & Behavioural Intervention

Whether you are a front-line practitioner, a caregiver, or a health-care professional, our programs will help you provide more effective support to people with behaviour disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Certificate

The first program of its kind in Atlantic Canada that meets the coursework requirements needed to apply to write the BACB®'s Board Certified assistant Behaviour Analyst® (BCaBA®) examination. Students can complete the certificate along with their undergrad program. Upon successful completion of this program you may be eligible to apply to write the exam to become certified.

Application deadlines

  • On campus - March 31 for admission in the fall term.
  • Online - Applications are reviewed as they are received.

Gain skills and competency quickly. Short and focused, our courses are a convenient way for you to stay up-to-date with advancements in the fields of ABI without the cost of enrolling in full courses. Many of these courses also qualify as BACB Continuing Education Units (CEUs), which are essential for anyone holding BACB certification.

Behavioural Support Series

Our introductory-level Behavioural Support courses provide practical techniques and strategies for anyone who cares for individuals of all ages with intellectual disabilities, on the autism spectrum, or with general behavioural challenges. This program is also available in French.
