In the late 18th century, musicians and composers flooded into Vienna from nearby Moravia and heavily influenced the development of classical music. Atlantic Sinfonia will perform as a wind octet (or Harmonie) — a popular ensemble of the period — and highlight works by Moravian composers including Paul Wranitsky, David Moritz Michael, Nannette Steicher, and Franz Krommer.
