MusicUNB 2020

The Centre for Musical Arts presents MusicUNB, an annual concert series that features chamber and cutting-edge classical music performances.

This year, all of our MusicUNB concerts will be available online, with most concerts being livestreamed directly from Memorial Hall. Thanks to YouTube Live, you'll also be able to see our musicians "live" in action, while they improvise together from separate locations.

NOTE: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, some performances will be pre-recorded then assembled into a video montage to be viewed online.

Pay What You Can

Since the beginning, the COVID-19 pandemic has challenged traditional concerts. Over the past year, we have worked hard to bring musical performances to you digitally.

At this time, we have decided to move to a by-donation model for pricing. Please consider donating to support the UNB Centre for Musical Arts. Your contribution allows us to make music relevant and bring it into everyone's home!

NOTE: You will get a tax receipt for your donation.

Donate today!

Have no fear if you're busy on concert day! Videos will remain available for extended viewing for two weeks after the original livestream.

A message from Richard Hornsby, Director, Centre for Musical Arts:

Welcome to the MusicUNB Concert program for 2020-2021!

Portrait of Richard HornsbyFor decades, UNB has provided the university and the broader community with quality concerts by both regional and other Canadian artists. We typically use our acoustically fine, Memorial Hall on the UNB campus. That will continue this fall but the difference is – you will participate virtually. Concerts will be live-streamed to our patrons at appointed days and times and streamed with high-quality video and audio. We have an interesting array of concerts for you as well as our 2nd New Music Festival. We are providing an option to purchase a ticket that includes a variety of added-value elements such as artist video profiles, artist talks, and other information to enhance the virtual concert experience.

Please join us and help us support our performing musicians!
