Songwriting Camp (ages 11-17)

Take your songwriting to the next level or write your own songs for the first time!

Explore the fundamentals of songwriting with a focus on developing sustainable and unique creative processes for any genre. Students will cover inspiration, lyrics, classic chord structures, melodies, and much more.

All levels of experience welcome. Students should have access to a computer, internet connection, and Zoom.

Daily schedule

• 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. - MasterClass
• 9:45 a.m. to 10 a.m. - BREAK
• 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. - Songwriting Groups
• 10:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. - BREAK
• 11 a.m. to 12 p.m - Full-class Activities

About instructor

Charles Harding graduated from New Brunswick College Of Craft & Design in 2013 with a degree in Integrated media. He is currently studying at Concordia University for Electroacoustic studies. He was Program Director for Camp Medley for 3 years. He worked at Tony's Music Box as a graphic designer, marketer, and synth specialist. He started a solo electronic music project Property// in 2014, which has been given opportunities to perform all over eastern Canada such as The Grickle Grass Festival (in London, ON), Fredericton's Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival and FLOURISH Festival.
