Go further into the different functions of your DSLR with this course!

Using a step-by-step approach to taking better photos, we will cover: Lens choices, Metering Modes, Portraiture, Lighting and Composition (plus many more) to enable you to make the most out of every shooting situation. Our topics will clear up some of the mystery surrounding Manual Mode and will give you the confidence to begin “shooting what you see” instead of leaving it entirely up to your camera in Automatic Mode!

You will be given a weekly assignment, which we will review and critique to help you reach your photographic goals.

  • Week 1: Lens hoods, Manual Mode, Composition
  • Week 2: Focusing Modes, Metering Modes, Tripods
  • Week 3: On-Camera Flash, Ambient Lighting, Continuous Lighting
  • Week 4: Camera Filters, HDR Photography, The Quality of Light
  • Week 5: A Quick Guide to Better Portraiture, Adobe Lightroom Discussion, Adobe Photoshop Discussion

You need to have your own digital SLR camera with fully charged batteries (and manual).
