Continue your ASL journey!

Build on your American Sign Language (ASL) skills in this relaxed and comfortable 6-week class.

ASL is the language used by most Deaf Canadians. It is a visual language made up of specific gestures (signs), hand shapes and facial expressions. It uses unique grammatical rules and sentence structure. Instructor Leigh McNulty will help you enhance your basic communication skills in areas such as exchanging information, identifying/describing others, and asking for clarification.

No materials required.

Dates: Wednesdays, Jan. 27 to March 10, 2021 (6 weeks - no class March 3)
Times: 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Course fee: $149 (+ HST) *Save 15% if you register before Jan. 13, 2021*

About the instructor

Leigh McNulty was born in Saint John, NB, and grew up in Ontario. She has a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, a Master's Degree in Deaf Education from Rochester, NY and a Bachelor of Education from North Bay, Ont. She also completed a course on 'Syntax of Sign Language' at George Brown College, Toronto. Leigh has been teaching deaf children from grades one through 8 at an elementary school in Ontario for the past 9 years. She enjoys swimming in the Saint John River/New River and shopping at galleries and farmer markets.
