Have you ever wanted to improve the video games you play? Here's your chance to give game design a try and learn directly from an industry professional about how this is done at studios like EA and Activision.

During this intensive 1-day crash course in video game design, you'll gain first-hand experience of the challenges faced by a junior game designer at a game studio. You'll learn about game design fundamentals and how they apply to make games fun and engaging. Then you'll get your hands dirty by employing an industry standard design process to design and build your very own game.

At the end of the day, you can take your game home (for PC or Mac) and keep perfecting it with the free software provided. See how people love to play the game you made! See the course outline for more details.

Note: Open to anyone 14 years of age and older.

This workshop is held in a computer lab, but you are welcome to bring your laptop (fully charged) and an extension cord. Also please download this free Gamemaker software before the class.
