Flex your writing muscles with this intensive 1-day workshop designed to equip, elevate and expand your toolbox as a writer. Topics include worldbuilding, character arcs, and how to breakdown and construct a killer narrative using the six-stage plot structure technique.

You’ll also dive deep into advanced concepts like writing in deep point of view and using active language, everything you need to take your writing to the next level.

Lastly, you’ll put these concepts into practice, writing a scene or scene fragment and sharing it with the group.

About the instructor

Terry Armstrong (writing as Cary Caffrey) is a full-time writer and part-time teacher. He is also the author of the best selling science-fiction series, The Girls from Alcyone, and a winner of the Jacob Zilber award for Screenwriting. Terry studied at Concordia University in Montreal, as well as the University of British Columbia, earning a BA and MFA in Creative Writing.

Terry’s other courses are: E-Publishing and Novel Writing.
