Continue your ASL journey! Build upon your American Sign Language (ASL) skills in this relaxed and comfortable 8-week class.

ASL is the language used by most Deaf Canadians. It is a visual language made up of specific gestures (signs), hand shapes and facial expressions. It uses unique grammatical rules and sentence structure. Instructor Carl Brown will help you enhance your basic communication skills in areas such as exchanging information, identifying/describing others, and asking for clarification.

No materials required.

About the instructor

The UNB Leisure Learning program is happy to welcome back Instructor Carl Brown, who taught ASL with the program many years ago. Carl has taught American Sign Language for over 20 years and has been a representative for the New Brunswick chapter of the Canadian Association of Deaf (CAD). He has strong ties with the local, provincial and national Deaf community.
