One award of $500 will be presented annually to a student registered in the last half of UNB's Occupational Health and Safety certificate program.
Preference will be given to self-identified diversity applicants who meet the eligibility and selection criteria requirements.

This award is equal to the approximate value of a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety course.
We give out a maximum of five (5) awards a year with two awarded in winter, one in summer, and two in fall.

The Chad Bradley Scholarship was established to honour the memory of Governor Catherine (Chad) Bradley, who passed away in 2018. Awarded annually, this $3,000 national scholarship is available to women pursuing careers in the field of occupational health and safety.
Every year, in memory of Dick Martin, the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health & Safety awards the Dick Martin Scholarship. Three $3000 scholarships are given to students enrolled in an OHS-related course or program from an accredited college or university.

Alberta Job Grant - The Canada-Alberta Job Grant is an employer-driven training program. This means that employers decide on who gets training and what type of training may be needed for new and existing employees. Employers are required to use a third-party training provider to deliver the formal training either onsite, online, or in a classroom setting.

New Brunswick Employment Insurance (NB-EI) Connect Program - If you are unemployed, eligible for Employment Insurance (E.I.) benefits and plan to return to school to upgrade your education or employment skills, then the NB-EI Connect program may be able to help. This program offers eligible individuals the opportunity to continue to receive regular E.I. benefits for the duration of their claim while attending an approved training program. Under this program, the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour has the authority to allow you to receive your E.I. benefits while attending the training program.

Skills Development - Skills Development provides financial assistance to eligible individuals to help them get the skills training they need to find employment.

Job Skills - Essential Workplace Skills Development Program - This initiative provides financial assistance to small or medium size employers to develop and deliver recognized on-the-job training for existing and future employees. It provides up to $5,000, with an employer contribution, of the approved training costs for each trainee. Eligible costs include wages, training materials and supplies, instruction and other delivery costs. Training must be linked to employment opportunities with the employer.

Scholarships – Department of Education and Skills - The Department of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour has a mandate to ensure the province has highly educated graduates and skilled workers for a fast-growing economy. This includes creating a climate which is conducive to economic growth, competitiveness and prosperity. This is achieved through a spectrum of programs, services, and supports.
Skills Development - provides unemployed eligible participants who need to learn additional basic to advanced skills development raining to help find work. SD participants should be those who lack marketable skills and need new or additional occupation skills in order to improve their employment prospects but are otherwise job ready. Participants requesting support through this program attend training on a full time basis and training may be approved through public or private training providers.

Canada-Ontario Job Grant - provides an opportunity for employers to invest in their workforce, with help from the government. The Job Grant will provide direct financial support to individual employers who wish to purchase training for their employees. It will be available to small, medium and large businesses with a plan to deliver short-term training to existing and new employees.

Second Career - Provides laid-off workers with skills training to help them find jobs in high-demand occupations in Ontario and financial support. Second Career is a cost-sharing grant provided on the basis of need, so you may be asked to contribute what you can to your training or education.

SkillsPEI Graduate Mentorship Program - is an employment program developed to help full-time post secondary students develop new skills and gain work experience through on the job training during their last year of study. A temporary wage subsidy is provided to an employer to create opportunities for students to apply their education and training in the workplace. This work experience should prepare the student to move into the workforce after graduation.
Training PEI - Training PEI program was developed to assist job seekers to gain the skills and education necessary to find and maintain employment. Financial support is provided to enable a job seeker to complete a post secondary certificate or diploma program.

Manpower Training Measure - If you need additional training to find a job or keep your current one, the Manpower Training measure can provide financial assistance while you learn, and even reimburse you for your training expenses.

Canada-Saskatchewan Job Grant - will help businesses and non-profit organizations – both large and small – to train new or existing employees for available jobs, and provide increased opportunities for unemployed and underemployed workers to receive training.

Skill Training Benefit (STB) - This program assists clients who are EI eligible to return to the labour market as quickly as possible and to improve their employability.

Canada NWT Job Fund - Provides funding to support training for individuals who are NOT eligible for Employment Insurance, including employed individuals. Gives priority to groups who are underrepresented in the workforce due to a lack of workplace essential skills and/or low literacy skills. Focuses on employers who want to cost share training for current and new employees.
Canada NWT Job Grant - Provides employers with the opportunity to: Decide which employee(s) or potential employee(s) get training; Decide what training is required; Decide which 3rd party training institution delivers the training. Requires employers contribute one third (1/3) of the training costs. Requires employers have a job available at the end of the training.
Health Professionals Education Bursary - The Yukon Health Professionals Education Bursary is available to six new students per year. Two bursaries will be awarded to the two top-scored students for $5000 per year to a maximum of four years that they are enrolled in a health education program. Four bursaries will be awarded for $2500 each per year of the four years applicants are enrolled in a health education program. Deadline: June 30 by 5:00 PM. Bursary committee will make its decisions by no later than September 30. Complete applications must be received at the following address on or before June 30:

Professional Development Fund - This fund is designed to assist those working in the health and social services fields advance their direct delivery skills so they can provide Yukon people with high quality services. The Professional Development Fund (PDF) is allocated $25,000 and is available to eligible staff and volunteers of non-profit agencies, First Nations and certain private businesses.
