Investigative Interviewing - Level II is designed to examine case experiences, identify strengths and challenges, and enhance practiced skills. The session will open with a brief review of interview techniques and move directly to practical exercises.
Two-person teams will be assigned a file to investigate. They will be expected to evaluate reported incidents, identify all persons of interest (direct/indirect witnesses, victims, suspects) and complete relevant interviews. Interviewees will be accompanied by third party support where appropriate. Evening work (home) will be required.
At the end, teams will review case notes, assess witness credibility and provide file conclusions. Candidates will have benefit of instructor guidance and class feedback.

Previous introductory training in Investigative Interviewing (i.e. Fact Finding & Investigative Interviewing) is preferred. A brief questionnaire will be sent to participants in advance of the session to aid with assignments and instructor focus.
