Creating a healthy and thriving working environment

In this 2-day workshop, you will gain the necessary knowledge, skills, resources, and strategic plans for optimizing workplace environments and discover how you can contribute to enhanced employee well-being, engagement and productivity.

You will also learn how to train others in the Positive Workplace Framework (PWFTM), an evidence-based approach for promoting and embedding Mental Fitness and Resiliency Practices in daily workplace routines and interactions. Participants will leave this workshop with resources, a plan for their workplace and a baseline assessment of workplace culture.

  • Receive a 12-month subscription to the PWF Resource Platform containing online and downloadable resources for training others in embedding Mental Fitness and Resiliency Practices in workplace settings (available in English & French)
  • Learn the core competencies of the Mental Fitness and Resiliency Inventory (MFRI)
  • Discover how to better assess workplace cultures and target strategic plans for optimizing workplace environments

Dr. Bill Morrison

Bill is a clinical psychologist with advanced graduate degrees in both educational foundations and psychology. In addition to his 25 years of clinical practice, Dr. Morrison has had extensive experience in the development and implementation of health and education services for children and adults in several Canadian provinces. He was instrumental in the design and implementation of New Brunswick’s ISD framework, and was an initial author of the Province of New Brunswick’s provincial wellness strategy

Dr. Patricia Peterson

Patricia holds a doctoral degree in Education from Boston University. A tenured faculty member at the University of New Brunswick, she is also Co-Executive Director of the university’s Health and Education Research Group. She is currently the President of the Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick, and has co-authored the Positive Mental Health Toolkit, a series of online eBooks used by schools across Canada for promoting positive teaching and learning environments.

WMA Wellness Inc. is a national provider of positive psychology workplace solutions and organizational consulting. WMA has designed the Positive Workplace Framework to assist organizations in implementing positive psychology practices that contribute to heathy and effective workplace environments.
