Celebrating many ProudlyUNB accomplishments

Alumni President’s Message | Over the past couple of months, we have been recognizing students for their leadership, athletic commitment and academic excellence; and celebrated the accomplishments of some of our alumni. On April 5, at a gala event in Saint John, we honoured six alumni and one alumni group; and nameed UNB President Eddy Campbell and the late Diane Campbell honorary alumni. Full story

Excellence in the classroom garners professor national recognition

Inspire | UNB Saint John business professor Emin Civi has been lauded numerous times for his innovative teaching and his commitment to providing students with real-world learning opportunities. In February, he was recognized with a 3M National Teaching Fellowship Award. Full story

Engineering students develop smart life jacket

University Highlights | The LifeTrack Outlast life jacket was designed by fourth-year engineering students Amy Andrews, Bridget McCloskey, Kaitlin MacIsaac and Phoenix Bard-Cavers through UNB’s Technology Management and Entrepreneurship program. Full story

UNBers go for the experience and come home with internships

University Highlights | Students Thomas Bobyn, Grant Frey and Micah Hesman made it to the final round of the DraftKings international pitch competition and presented their idea of an Overwatch eSports fantasy format to DraftKings, a daily fantasy sports contest provider. The UNB team was the only Canadian team to advance as a top five finalist. Full story

Alumna chosen to participate in Sephora accelerator program

Alumni Stories | Natasha Dhayagude (BSc’14) and her company Chionova Bioworks, which has developed a natural preservative extracted from mushrooms, will participate in the Sephora Accelerate, "a program aiming to build a community of innovative female founders in the beauty industry". Full story

UNB’s Red ‘n Black Revue marks 70 years as New Brunswick’s premier variety show

Alumni Stories | New Brunswick's longest-running show celebrated seven decades with performances that included traditional Indigenous singing, aerial acrobatics, cultural dances, and a tribute to the famous kick line. Full story.

Schulich Leaders make their mark at UNB
