The University of New Brunswick Fredericton welcomes applications for the position of Campaign Leadership Gifts Manager with Development & Donor Relations. This is a full-time (36.25 hours per week) term position until April 30, 2023, with the APT employee group. The position is funded by the external monies with a salary range of $45,898 - $59,656 per annum.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Campaigns, this position is responsible for the coordination and preparation of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship materials for prospective donors in the University's campaign fundraising program.
Position summary:
- Organize and manage all strategically planned interactions between the Associate Director, Campaigns, and the Campaign Development Officers, with their prospects. This includes identifying and pursuing opportunities to engage major/leadership gifts prospects in the life of the institution and assist in deepening the relationship between these prospects and members of the Campaign Team.
- Coordinate the preparation of all meeting documents (itineraries, briefings, etc) along with the arrangements for prospects, volunteer meetings and special events.
- Ensure the preparation of collateral material (e.g. mini case for support, customized proposals, brochures, stewardship and campaign reports, gift agreements, etc.) for use in meetings with prospects.
- Debrief meeting outcomes with relevant Campaign Team members and campaign cabinet, ensure appropriate follow-up are prepared and next actions are identified, and progress is monitored.
- Solicit low and mid-level leadership gift prospects, follow-up on outstanding commitments, and renewing donor commitments.
- Utilize the constituent database for prospect information and volunteer information.
- Consolidate campaign results and reports for the team and leadership gift volunteers and campaign cabinet.
Requirements/Skills:
- Undergraduate degree in a related field with 3-5 years working in the not-for-profit sector, within a campaign setting, preferable.
- Experience soliciting donations and engaging in gift conversations with individual, corporate and/or foundation donors.
- Experience working with large advancement and/or fund-raising databases, such as colleague; able to use Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Familiarity with travel domestically and within the United States.
