These notes flow from 50 years of interest in transport, the experience of many trips some joint ventures with my wife.

· Visiting Machu Picchu below from Fredericton involved: car to the airport, air to Toronto, to San Juan, bus to the ship, by ship through the Pannama Canal to Lima, by air to Cuzco, by bus to the Rail Station, by rail and bus to this spectacular site. A real multi-modal experience.
