The Links below, or the ICIF MENU of MYSYS TVX are designed to provide quick access to functions that can solve problems that require the use of only one of the several compound interest functions.
These functions prompt for value of the known variables and calculate values of the unknown variable. A user needs to be aware of the answer variable and the values of the input variables. Brief descriptions appear in each selection line.
Select the proper function on the basis of what is known and what is required. The TVX functions cover normal use including those required for discounted cash flow and break-even analysis. The MYNET functions in the list below cover the six traditional functions and the equivalent period cost of an investment with a salvage value.
First choose a function on the basis of what the answer should be. Then check to be sure you know the values of the input variables.

The data entry function 'is' provides interactive data entry. 'is" initially returns the current value of the named global variable. 'is' requires that you verify the value shown by using the Enter key on a blank line.
Each function requires that you name the problem that you are solving.
When the calculation is complete you may append the answer and input to the workspace and disk LOG by following the prompts.
If your calculation requires the use of more than one compound interest function then use the CIF panel. Its use requires a more complete understanding of separating problems into parts and combining the results. Links:
