Living off-campus

Fredericton

Getting to and from campus

The city of Fredericton was established in 1785- the same year as the University of New Brunswick. Because of this, the city has grown around the campus and many apartments are very close by. Walking time to campus can be as short as 2 minutes.

Fredericton Transit offers discounted transit passes for full-time UNB students. There are 28 buses operating nine different routes from Monday to Saturday.

Off-campus housing resources

If you’re looking for off-campus housing near UNB's Fredericton campus, the Student Services department has some great resources to help you in your search.

Orientation and transition

It doesn’t matter if you live on campus or off campus, when you become a student at UNB, you’re a part of the UNB family. As an off-campus student, you’re invited to become a part of TownHouse - a virtual residence for off-campus students that will help you stay connected to the community.

Becoming a member of TownHouse makes it easy to take part in Orientation Week - a week packed full of fun activities to help you get to know UNB and your faculty.
