Events in Fredericton
Fredericton is a vibrant cultural capital with a full dance card of entertainment options and award-winning festivals.
Throughout the year, the Tannery Entertainment District offers up live music in local pubs and the Playhouse is home to high-quality performing arts performances. The Historic Garrison District offers free entertainment every evening in July and August.
And virtually every month, the City boasts a major festival, from classic culinary events to giant music fests. Each event offer visitors an authentic insight into contemporary Maritime culture. There's the Fredericton River Festival in June, the Highland Games and Scottish Festival in July, the NB Summer Music Festival in August, Dragon Boats and Fine Crafts in September, Canada's first Whiskey and Spirits Festival in October, the Silver Wave Film Festival in November, WinterFest in February.....along with many more.
The City's biggest weekend is the third week of September when 350 artists perform more than 130 shows at the nationally-recognized Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival.
