Student Disciplinary Code Supervisory Committee

B.  OFFICERS AND COMMITTEES The Board shall appoint officers annually for the implementation of the Code.  The Board may delegate its authority to individual officers as necessary for the effective performance of their duties.

  1. Commissioner of Student Discipline  (Commissioner) for each campus who shall be responsible for the administration and implementation of the Code in cooperation with the Supervisory Committee.
  2. Technical Advisor  (Advisor) for each campus who shall provide assistance as required to all those involved in the implementation of the Code.
  3. Supervisory Committee

     (a)  Membership:  President (or designate); Vice-President (Saint John) (or designate); Presidents (or designates) of Councils, GSA, LSS; Dean of Students; Director of Student Services; a member of the Board.

     (b)  Chair and Secretary:  the Committee shall elect its own Chair annually, and the Commissioner (Fredericton) shall be the Secretary, non-voting

     (c)  Responsibilities:  the Committee shall administer the Code in cooperation with the Commissioners;  shall receive annual reports from the Chair of the SDC's and from the Commissioners;  and shall make recommendations to the Board on any matter relating to student discipline.

  4.  Student Disciplinary Committee  (SDC)

        Membership:  recommended to the Board, through the President, following a formal vote by the appropriate Council.


(a) Membership:  President (or designate);  Vice-President (Saint John) (or designate);  Presidents (or designates) of Councils, GSA, LSS;  Dean of Students;  Director of Student Services;  a member of the Board.
