Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) was established in 1970. Offering both undergraduate and graduate programs, it pursues a progressive agenda for global study and understanding across all disciplines.

The institution embodies a strategic point of delivery for well-defined programs and services that improve the quality of life for citizens of the border region, the State of Texas, and national and international communities.

Texas A&M International University is located in Laredo, right on the border between Mexico and the US and 156 miles south of San Antonio. There are 2,644 undergraduate and 780 graduate students.
