University of Tennessee, Martin
Martin is a small community, which readily welcomes international students through local businesses, support services, civic organizations, churches and community activities. The town of Martin is located in the north-western corner of the state.
The 46-building campus is located on 250 acres. Given its rural location, much of the focus of the school has been on undergraduate studies in education and agriculture, and the university has a large experimental farm.
Liberal arts programs are also offered, and in recent years there has been an increasing emphasis on business and engineering. There is an active Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, and a school of nursing.

Testimonial from a past student
"Studying abroad was a wonderful experience, I met lots of friends and had a great time living and studying in Tennessee. The nursing program is not very flexible with courses so it is difficult to find such a great opportunity to study abroad without falling behind. This was a fantastic experience both educationally and socially!"
Renee Nason studied in Tennessee in Fall 2010
