Karlstad University

Karlstad University is one of the newer universities in Sweden. The teaching style is characterized by integration and multidisciplinary. The University offers 40 programs and 750 courses. The university is home to 10,000 students including approx 200 international students

While relatively small with 80,000 inhabitants, Karlstad is centrally located in the heart of Scandinavia with Gothenburg, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo within easy reach Karlstad is a cultural and commercial centre, an important industrial city as well as an administrative capital. Karlstad is easily accessible by road, rail and air.

From the recreational viewpoint, Karlstad has a lot to offer, from outdoor activities and sports to culture and entertainment. The beautiful old theatre offers plenty of entertainment with plays, operas and ballets. The city boasts a large library, several art galleries and museums as well as cinemas and restaurants.
