"I arrived in Hong Kong a week ago and have already fallen in love with this city. Everything about it is amazing and most of all, efficient. It’s extremely easy to get anywhere whether you use the MTR, tram, bus, or taxi; they are all fast and cheap. I came to Hong Kong expecting to see an extremely industrial city with next to know trees and wildlife but it is actually quite the opposite. Yes they do have a lot of enormous buildings but there is almost an equal amount of greenery.
My accommodations here are great, and cost next to no money! The student residence is one of the biggest in the world so I am meeting new people literally every day. It has a pool, tons of activity rooms, and a cafeteria with incredible food. I have visited the beach, a temple, Ocean Park (Hong Kong’s Sea World), and many different stores/shops along the way. Hong Kong has the best shopping in the world and the most vibrant city life I have ever seen. There is never/will never be a shortage of things to do.
With over 300 exchange students from all over the world I have met so many people and learned about all their different cultures. I can now visit multiple countries in the future and have someone to hang out with in all of them! I look forward to the rest of my semester here in Hong Kong and already wish I was staying longer than four months!"
