Gain International Work Experience

If you are interested in gaining international work experience, there are many ways to work your way around the world.

Washington Center Internship

UNB Saint John has  apartnership with the Washington Center for Internship& Academic Seminars in Washington DC. You can complete an 10 or 15 week internship in the US capital city and earn academic credits towards your UNB degree. UNB Saint John students participate in the Global Trade & Regional Integration Program, where they learn first-hand about Canada-US Relations and have the opportunity to meet with international leaders to discuss and explore bilateral issues and regional integration between Canada and the US.

Interns are provided with fully-furnished apartments throughout Northern Virginia, Washington and Maryland. Participants may intern at such prestigious agencies such as the Canadian or Mexican Embassies, Merrill Lynch, Amnesty International, Inter-American Development Bank and hundred of other non-governmental organizations or businesses. Interns also complete an academic course and participate in a variety of career and professional programming and other activities through our Leadership Forum.

The NB Provincial government provides a $4,000 scholarship to NB resident students. The Student Abroad Program provides a additional $1,500 towards the program cost.
