Application deadline

The application deadline to study abroad in Fall 2013 or Winter 2014 is Monday, March 25, 2013

Applying for exchanges

While some of the destinations are now full, interested students are invited to apply for the remaining open destinations. 

Selecting an exchange destination

To find out which destination will suit your and your academic objectives best, please visit the destination page and research the destinations, in particular the courses being offered.

Please indicate your three (3) preferred institutions and indicate the courses which you would like to take at each place. The courses which you indicate are only tentative and you are able to change them, but it is necessary that you research the institutions to determine that there are courses available towards your degree.

Travel study/field trip

The Student Abroad Program may be able to provide a small off-campus study award to qualifying students. This application is for funding only for travel study/field trips; it is NOT an application to participate. You may be able to participate in travel study/field trips, even if you do not qualify for funding from the Student Abroad Program.

Washington Center Global Trade & Regional Integration Internship

There is a $4,000 provincial scholarship available to students who are New Brunswick residents.

In order to be eligible for the internship, you must have completed 60 credits hours, be a full-time undergraduate student with a cGPA of 2.7.

Application documents

Please submit the following:

  • A signed application form
  • Your un-official transcripts printed from e-Services
  • Your resume
  • An essay

Essay guidelines (1000 words typed)

In the essay, please address the following points:

  • How did you hear about the Student Abroad Program?
  • Personal and academic reasons for apply for the exchange/field study/intersession
  • Extracurricular activities
  • The desired outcome of the experience (contribution to academic, personal, and professional development)
  • Previous international experience (travel, living/working abroad)

Please hand in your application to the International Programs advisor located in Oland Hall G14.
