Fundamentals of Good Governance

Two-day workshop

Good GovernanceThis two-day program will provide the definition of governance and will discuss the roles, responsibilities and accountabilities of boards and individual board members including their legal duties. It will cover the key stewardship responsibilities of governing boards and explore the distinct but complementary roles and responsibilities of the Board and the CEO. It will address the importance of creating effective relationships between the Board, CEO and appropriate delegation.

The second day will delve deeper into three of the Board's stewardship responsibilities: strategic decision making and planning, strategic oversight of human resources, and ensuring effective governance through recruitment, selection, education and evaluation of the Board and its members.
