Pre-Masters of Business Administration (Pre-MBA) Program
The Pre-MBA Program is full-time, intensive, non-credit program offered by Saint John College and UNB Saint John's Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Program and is designed to help international students bridge the gap between their undergraduate education, work experience, and the entry requirements of UNB Saint John's MBA Program.
Who should take the Pre-MBA Program?
International students who have been conditionally accepted to the UNB Saint John MBA Program but who need to increase their level of English language ability and/or gain work experience before beginning the MBA Program.
What are the English language test score requirements for UNB Saint John's Pre-MBA and MBA Programs?
The UNB Saint John MBA Program requires that students achieve an IELTS score of 7.0 (or an equivalent score on other standardized tests-of-English) in order to enter the program. Students must have an IELTS score of 6.0 in order to enter the Pre-MBA Program.
How long is the Pre-MBA Program?
The Pre-MBA Program is an 8-month (2-semester) full-time program and is divided into two (2) Modules (I and II).
When does the Pre-MBA Program begin?
Students can enter the Pre-MBA Program in January and September of each year.
What courses are included in the Pre-MBA Program?
The Pre-MBA Program includes a combination of Engish-second-language development courses and introductory business courses. In Module I, students take five (5) courses and focus primarily on improving and increasing their academic English language skills as well as becoming familiar with Canadian business language and culture.
In Module II, students take six (6) courses and focus on improving their knowledge of core business concepts in areas such as Economics, Organizational Behaviour, Accounting, and General Business. Module II of the Pre-MBA Program also includes a GMAT Preparation course for students who are required to achieve a GMAT score of 550 or higher as a condition of their acceptance to the UNB Saint John MBA Program.
What is the cost of the Pre-MBA Program?
The total cost of the Pre-MBA Program is $14,500* CAD. This fee includes placement testing, GMAT Preparation, and some field trips and extra-curricular activities designed to reinforce classroom study. This price does not include the cost of health insurance.

As an incentive for Pre-MBA students, each year, Saint John College awards scholarships ranging from $3,000 CAD to $8,000 CAD to the top five (5) students who successfully complete the Pre-MBA Program and begin the MBA Program at UNB Saint John.
Does Saint John College provide accommodations and student services?

Saint John College has two (2) full-time Student Advisors on staff to assist its students with academic, personal, social and/or cultural challenges they may face. One of SJC's Student Advisors is fluent in Arabic.
