As the University of New Brunswick's academic preparatory college, Saint John College has been welcoming international students looking for an understanding of the English language for academic purposes since 1985.
Saint John College offers two programs for university preparatory study:
- English as a Second Language Support program offers students with Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) scores of 500-549 one of Canada's best options for university entrance
- English for Academic Purposes program offers students with TOEFL scores of less than 500 an intensive opportunity to immerse themselves in the English language
Saint John College also offers a variety of other types of English language programs including our Business English and Culture, Practical English Program and Industry-Specific Training.
Internationally recognized
Focused on preparing international students to take university courses taught in English our program is designed for all levels and is recognized by Languages Canada.
Full-time students in Saint John College's programs have complete access to all campus facilities, including the athletics centre, residences, library, and computer labs.
Our programs provide students with the English skills they need to be successful in academic programs at North American universities.

Classes are held in the newly renovated Saint John College UNBSJ campus facilities, complemented with the modern learning technologies and as well as off-campus in the heart of Saint John's central business district.
