Tool Box meetings

"Tool Box" meetings are a requirement under the NB Occupational Health and Safety Act and all supervisors should be prepared to provide documentation of such upon the request of a Health and Safety Inspector. Conducting regular and relevant meetings will help to promote a culture of safety thus reducing lost time and improving proficiency.

Running effective toolbox meetings can be a challenge. To help make it easier, the following toolbox meeting topics have been provided to provide a simple, clear format for conducting effective toolbox talks.

These guides include information on specific safety topics that should help encourage safe work practices.  The list will be updated monthly, should you require a topic that is not found below please contact UNBSJ EHS&S for assistance at 5505 or dgill@unb.ca.
