Distinguished Service Awards
Two staff members of the Faculty of Science, Applied Science, and Engineering have been awarded a University of New Brunswick Distinguished Service Award for their hard work and dedication.
Many times those who consistently work hard, and don’t seek credit for that work, can sometimes be taken for granted.
The Distinguished Service Award brings deserved recognition to an individual who makes a huge contribution to their faculty with grace.
Our 2012 SASE recipients are: Kerry Hoyt (administrative coordinator, SASE dean) and Austine MacKinnon (secretary, department of nursing & health sciences).
Since the winter of 2009, Kerry’s strong work ethic and positive outlook have been a huge asset to everyone within the faculty of science, applied science & engineering. An enthusiastic employee, Kerry single-handedly manages the duties and responsibilities of the dean’s office with a pleasant and agreeable demeanor.
Austine has worked in the department of nursing & health sciences for nearly 20 years. Her ability to make everyone feel welcome as she uses her extensive knowledge of the university to provide support to faculty, staff and students is a constant demonstration of her professionalism.
Congratulations to both Austine and Kerry!
